Ethics in Journalism

With the rise of new information and communication technologies, our ways of thinking ethics in media and in journalism have completely changed. From issues of consent, to concerns of agency in representation, security and objectivation, but also copyright and the free exchange of information online. There is today a great need to rethink the ways one can produce and make use of media content in ethical ways. This course introduces some basic concepts in journalism ethics, and attempts to look at the ethical crisis facing Arab media more in-depth.
